The organ contains older material: Organ case from 1698 by Jean Arel
The organ in the Chapelle Notre-Dame was built in 1860 by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll in the 1698 case of Jean Arel's previous organ of the church. The instrument was overhauled by Gaston Maille in 1899. Restorations were carried out in 1952 by Maurice Puget and in 1967 by Antonio Pesce. At this last renovation, the action was modified to electric, and a new console has been installed.
