The organ contains older material: Organ case from 1815 by Jean Borrel
In 1815, Jean Borrel built a new organ for the Église Saint-Jean in Castelnauderay. This instrument was renovated in 1865 by Vincent Cavaillé-Coll. Only the organ case survived until today, because in 1893, a new organ was installed in this case by Charles Anneessens. The instrument was transferred to the Sacré-Coeur in Carcassonne in 1953.
