- Helebæk Kirke was built in 1919-1920 to a design by Søren Lemche. A number of interior pieces have been transferred from the chapel of the Hellebækgård country house. There was a harmonium in this chapel. Mrs. Robert Hansen donated a pipe organ for the new church. This was built in 1920 by Christian Winter and Theodor Frobenius. It is a pneumatic two-manual organ with nine registers.
- In 1954 the disposition was altered. On the second manual, the Aeoline 8' and the Euphon 8' were replaced by Principal 2' and Quinte 1 1/3'. There were plans to replace the instrument, but thanks to a restoration by Finn Krohn in 1999, it is back in good condition. The prospect pipes have been repainted, the wind motor has been replaced and the organ loft is better insulated, so that the organ stays in tune better.
- In the meantime, the appreciation for this type of organ has grown, and the instrument is well maintained since 1999. Major maintenance was carried out in 2013.
