Charles Ruggles built a new organ for Saint James' Church in Gross Ile, Michigan in 1987. The instrument has two manuals and pedal. On the Swell Organ, Ruggles placed a Clarionet 8' from 1878, manufactured by William Johnson. The dedication concert was played by Charles Ruggles, James Kibbie and Dudley Oakes.
