- On October 1, 1889, a new organ was commissioned at the 'Volkskirche' or People's Church in Saint Paul, Minnesota. It was a three-manual organ built by Frank Roosevelt, organ builder from New York. The church was located on Pleasant Avenue, and was of unusual architecture for a church, designed by J. Walter Stevens. The church hall could seat 2500 people.
- The church building burned almost entirely down in January 1902. Presumably the organ was then lost. After this, the building was rebuilt in a simpler form. In 1937 the church fell out of use, and the empty building was completely destroyed by fire in 1940, on Good Friday.
