The Sankt Marienkirche in Röthgen was built in the years 1899-1906 in neo-Gothic style. The church was dedicated on October 30, 1906, but then belonged to the Sankt-Peter-und-Paul parish in Eschweiler. On January 7, 1908, the Röthgen parish became independent. A second-hand organ was installed, built by the Gebrüder Müller in 1844. In 1961, the organ was restored by the Klais company.
