The village church of Hammerunterwiesenthal was consecrated in October 1889. The Gebrüder Jehmlich built a pneumatic organ in 1899. This was replaced by a new mechanical organ by Jehmlich in 1989. It was built on the occasion of the centenary of the church building, which was named Philipp-Melanchthon-Kirche in 1989. The new organ has thirteen registers.
