In 1976 the Bozeman-Gibson firm built an organ with seven stops on the manual and an independent pedal with a Bourdon 16' for the Community Chapel on Squirrel Island. The organ was put on display at Holy Cross Cathedral in Boston during the American Guild of Organists Convention. The organ was therefore not placed on the island until 1977. It was inaugurated with a concert by Martha Folts on August 14, 1977.
