François Callinet built an organ in 1807 for the church of Saint-François-Xavier, 10 Rue du Lycée in Besançon. After this church was closed, the organ was transferred in 1985 to the Saint-Louis in Besançon-Montrapon. The organ was completely restored in 1991 by Michel Giroud. It was re-dedicated on October 9, 1991 with a recital by Bernard Coudurier.
