In 1849 bouwde Thomas Robson een nieuw orgel voor Saint Michael, Cornhill in Londen. Bij de bouw nam hij veel materiaal over van het oude orgel van de kerk, een instrument van Renatus Harris uit 1684. Adviseur bij de bouw was Richard Limpus, organist van de kerk. Het orgel werd in 1868 gewijzigd door Bryceson, die de tractuur electrificeerde. In de jaren 1885-1886 is het orgel herbouwd door de firma Hill & Son. Dezelfde firma voerde in 1901 een nieuwe verbouwing en wijziging uit. Het orgel is in 1925 afgebroken en vervangen door nieuwbouw. De vermelde dispositie is de oorspronkelijke uit 1849.
