In de jaren 1793-1796 werd een nieuw orgel gebouwd voor de Stadtkirche in Adorf door Johann Gottlob en Christian Wilhelm Trampeli. Het kerkgebouw was in 1768 uitgebrand tijdens een grote stadsbrand. Hierbij ging het oude orgel uit 1625, gebouwd door Jacob Schedlich, verloren. Het nieuwe orgel kreeg een plaats aan de westzijde van de kerk, boven de hoofdingang. In 1875 is de Trompetenbaß van het pedaal vernieuwd bij een restauratie door Robert Barth. In 1904 verwoest een brand het interieur van de kerk. Daarbij is het orgel verloren gegaan.
