De Emmauskirche in Leipzig-Sellershausen is op 25 maart 1900 in gebruik genomen, evenals het orgel. Het instrument werd gebouwd door Richard Kreutzbach. De frontpijpen zijn in 1917 gevorderd. De firma Julius Jahn plaatste in 1927 nieuwe exemplaren in zink. Het tweede manuaal breidde hij ook uit met een Bachflöte 2'.
In 1937 is het omgebouwd en uitgebreid door de firma Schmeisser. Sindsdien heeft het drie manualen en pedaal, 33 stemmen en electropneumatische tractuur.
