- The construction of the Church of the Holy Family, François Rigasquare in Schaerbeek started in 1900, but it took many years before the church was finished. A three-manual organ was built in the organ loft in 1957-1958 by Gerard D'Hondt. The organ was dedicated on March 15, 1958. Antoon Pissoort and Jan Leopold played the inauguration concert.
- In 1988 it was decided to exchange the organs of the Holy Family Church in Schaerbeek and the Pius X Church in Wilrijk. The D'Hondt organ was renovated by Stan Arnauts and transferred to Wilrijk. It was dedicated here on September 18, 1988.
- The organ was restored by Verschueren Orgelbouw in 2017.
