  • In 1789, François Callinet built a new organ for Notre-Dame in Auxonne. During construction, the organ case and part of the pipework were taken over from the old organ of the church. The main case dates from around 1500, the back positive was added in 1716 by Guillaume Mourez. In the nineteenth century the organ was hardly changed. In 1925, Jules Bossier carried out a revision, reducing the number of registers from 30 to 22.
  • In the years 1984-1999, the situation of 1789 was reconstructed by Claude Jaccard, Pierre Chéron and Laurent Plet. On October 17, 1999, the organ was put back into use with a concert by André Isoir.
