Destroyed by fire (1906)
In juli 1906 brandde de Michaeliskirche in Hamburg vrijwel geheel uit. Het gebouw uit 1762 en het Hildebrandt-orgel uit 1769 (met drie manualen en 60 stemmen) gingen grotendeels verloren. Dit orgel was gebouwd door Johann Gottfried Hildebrandt. Na herbouw van de kerk is een nieuw orgel gebouwd door de firma Walcker, dat in 1912 werd opgeleverd.
