The Sankt Georgskirche in Leipzig-Gohlis was dedicated on November 25, 1923. The church was designed by Clemens Lohmer. In 1933 an organ by Jehmlich was installed, which had already been built in 1922. This organ was demolished in 1970 and replaced by an electronic organ. In 1985 a second-hand pipe organ was purchased. It was built around 1830 for the church of Kahlwinkel in the community Finneland. The original builder is unknown. Norbert Sperschneider restored the instrument and placed it in Leipzig. In addition, it has been expanded with a pedal coupler. A revision was carried out in 1997.
