Het vorige orgel van Saint Andrews' Church in Headington werd in 1967/1968 in de kerk geplaatst door de firma Walker & Sons, ter vervanging van een instrument van C. Martin uit 1880, dat later was verbouwd. Het nieuwe orgel was afkomstig uit Merton College Chapel, waar het in 1924 werd gebouwd door Rushworth & Dreaper. Mogelijk bevatte het pijpwerk van het vorige orgel van deze kapel uit 1872, gebouwd door Hill of door Walker. In 1987 werkte A. Foster-Waite aan het orgel. Hierbij is een Suabe Flute 4' geplaatst op het zwelwerk.Uiteindelijk is het instrument in 2008 vervangen door een geheel nieuw orgel van Kenneth Tickell.
