Gebaut von: E.F. Walcker & Cie. (1903) - Opus 1101
In 1903, the Walcker firm built an organ for the Sankt Michaelskirche in Wemmetsweiler with pneumatic cone chests. It was placed in a neo-Gothic organ case with painted doors. Around 1950 the traction was electrified by Hugo Mayer, and a new Mixtur was installed (3-4 fach, 1 1/3'). The organ was rebuilt in 1986 by the Walcker firm as opus 5863 with mechanical slider chests. The Prinzipal 2' was renewed at the Hauptwerk. The Schwellwerk expanded Walcker with a Prinzipal 2' and a Scharff, and the Clarinette was replaced by a new Oboe. The pedal was expanded with two transmissions. In 1989 the mixture of Mayer was replaced by the new Mixtur 5-6 fach. A renovation was carried out in 2006, also by Walcker. A modern setzer installation has been installed here.
