  • In 1887, Franz Borgias März built an organ with 25 stops for the Odeon concert hall in Munich. A new organ was built by Walcker in 1905 for this hall. The organ of März was then transferred to the Sankt Rupertkirche, which was inaugurated in 1905, on the west side of the city.
  • This church was built in the years 1901-1903 on the Schwanthalerhöh' after a design by the architect Gabriel von Seidl. The organ transfer was carried out by Franz Borgias März himself, who was a member of the parish. He converted the organ from mechanical to pneumatic and expanded the disposition with three stops. The organ was dedicated in 1907.
  • The 1933 conversion by Magnus Schmid was a radical change. The old front was removed and replaced by a modern open layout. He expanded the disposition to 37 stops and a lot of technical changes were also made. The organ survived the Second World War without damage.
  • In 1997 Jean-Paul Edouard carried out a restoration. The starting point was the restoration of the specification from 1907 while retaining some useful extensions from 1933. In the years 2001-2003 Stefan Niebler performed a complete re-voicing.
