The organ in the Basilique Saint-Julien in Tours was built in 1842 by François Larroque. Louis Bonn renovated the instrument in 1856 and 1859, and he also expanded it with some stops. In 1927 the organ was restored by Georges Gloton. Robert Boisseau carried out a technical restoration in 1965. Major maintenance was done by Jean-Loup Boisseau in 1976 and by Jean-Pierre Conan in 2003. A restoration is said to have started in 2015.
