In 1806 Ferdinand Stieffell placed an organ in the church of Bühlertal. In the course of the nineteenth century the instrument was transferred to the village church of Schönau in the Odenwald. The organ originally had an adherent pedal. The organ was restored around 2005 by Gerhard Lenter.
