- In the years 1735-1741, Johann Jakob Bommer built a beautiful organ for the monastery church in Sankt Katharinental. The monastery was closed in 1869, after which the organ fell out of use. The monastic buildings were later used as a psychiatric clinic.
- In 1941-1943, the Kuhn company carried out a restoration, in which the historic small-sized pedal was replaced by a modern one and many old pipes were also replaced. On April 7, 1943, the organ was put back into use. In the years 1965-1967 Kuhn carried out a new restoration. During this work, the old situation was reconstructed. On May 28, 1967, the renewed organ could be inaugurated.
