The main organ of the Church of Mary Magdalene in Stockholm was originally built in the years 1774-1777 by Olof Schwan. The beautiful facade was designed in rococo style by Carl Fredrik Adelcrantz. It had 38 stops. Gustav Andersson converted the organ in 1848. But in 1878 the interior was replaced by a modern two-manual organ of the firm Åkerman & Lund with thirty stops, equipped with mechanical action with barker levers. Advised by Gustaf Heintze, the same company converted the organ in 1927. It has been expanded to fifty stops, with a third manual. In 1961 the disposition was slightly altered by Einar Berg. Åkerman & Lund carried out a restoration in 1994.
