In 1819 the family donated the instrument to the Collegio di Spagna. Here it was given a place in the music hall. In 1960 the organ was restored by Alfredo Piccinelli. The Trombe was replaced in that year by a Cornamuse from around 1800, built by Giuseppe Serassi.
