Joseph Waltrin built a new organ for the parish church in Zabern (Saverne) in the years 1716/1717. The Positif was installed by him in 1723. In 1784 the organ was replaced with a new instrument by Sebastian Krämer, who transferred the old organ to the Protestant church of Ribeauvillé. Here it was rebuilt in 1808 by François Callinet. In 1917 the original front pipes were lost. Finally, the organ was completely rebuilt in 1925 with pneumatic action by Friedrich Haerpfer. In 1990-1993 the organ was reconstructed in its original state by Antoine Bois.
