In 1983, René Godefroy and Bernard Bocquelet built a new organ for the church of Ardres. Pipework was adopted from the church's previous organ during construction. This instrument was installed in 1934 by Georges Helbig. It was an original instrument by Frédéric (Fritz) Haerpfer from 1876.
