De Sankt Elisabethkirche in Wuppertal-Barmen werd in 1945 op de toren na verwoest. Het gebouw is na de oorlog in eenvoudige stijl weer opgebouwd. In 1952 kocht men een tweedehands pneumatisch orgel, afkomstig uit de Sankt Remigiuskirche te Bergheim-Erft. Het werd rond 1900 gebouwd door Gert Weyland. Op 25 mei 1952 is het in Wuppertal in gebruik genomen. Het kerkgebouw is in 1963 uitgebreid. Het orgel werd door de firma Weyland gereviseerd en eveneens uitgebreid.
