Year | Builder | Opus | Activity | 1752 | Balthasar König | new organ | 1949 | Klais Orgelbau | restoration and enlargement |
- The organ of the Mariendom in Andernach was originally built by Balthasar König for the church of the Franciscan monastery. The organ case points to the Stumm family as the builder, but the pipework is signed by König. The organ case may be older than the interior. When the monastery was closed in 1802, the organ was sold to the Liebfrauenkirche, where it was put into use in 1805. The organ was transferred to the church without modifications. The old Franciscan church today is in use as the Evangelische Christuskirche.
- In the years 1939 to 1949, the Klais company carried out various activities. The mechanism has been electrified, a freestanding console has been placed and the organ has been expanded with a swell. Klais relocated the Untergehäuse of the organ separately on the gallery on the south side.
