- After the restoration of the old monastery church in Bad Klosterlausnitz, it was decided in 1863 to have a new organ built by Carl Ernst Poppe. The instrument was put into use in August 1866. It had two manuals and pedal with 26 stops. In the twentieth century, some changes were made to the stoplist. The Waldflöte of the Hauptwerk was replaced by a Quinte 2 2/3', and on the Oberwerk the Quintatön, Fugara and Mixtur were replaced by an Aeoline 8', a Terz 1 3/5' and a Cymbel 2 fach (1/2').
- In 1984 the old interior was dismantled and stored. The Rudolf Böhm company built a new organ in the organ case, that was dedicated in 1985.
- Despite plans to have the old work restored and re-installed in the church by Schuke, this did not go ahead. The interior was sold and built up by Rösel & Hercher in the years 1999-2002 in a new organ case in the Sankt Marienkirche in Crawinkel.
