- The organ in the village church at Altendorf near Altenberga in Thuringia was originally built in 1692. The original builder is unknown. The instrument was renewed in 1743 by Justin Ehrenfried Gerhardt. In 1817, the organ was dismantled by Johann Christian Adam Gerhardt because of repairs to the vault. After that it was rebuilt without modifications.
- Adolf Poppe carried out a renovation in 1856. The old prospect pipes were removed in 1917 and later replaced by zinc ones. Gerhard Kirchner carried out a restoration in 1966. There is an empty space on both manual chests.
