Built by: Petrus-Johannes Vereecken (1873)
The organ contains older material: Pipes from 1641 by Jan Matthijs, Pipes from 1778 by Lambertus-Benoit Van Peteghem
In 1979, this instrument was restored to the state it probably was in after Petrus Vereecken from Gijzegem had thoroughly rebuilt it in 1873. A not insignificant part of the pipework was made in 1778 by Lambert Van Peteghem. Some registers date from the 17th century, probably made in 1641 by Jan Matthijs from Brussels. The organ case was manufactured in 1873 by Verlackt Oste. Because, apart from the pipework mentioned above, everything in this classified organ was made by Vereecken, it can be attributed to this organ maker as a romantic instrument - with a baroque character. The restoration plan was drawn up in 1975 by Gabriel Loncke. The restoration was carried out in 1978-1980 by the company Pels-D'Hondt.
