Alzey, Deutschland (Rheinland-Pfalz) - Katholische Pfarrkirche Sankt Joseph
Municipal: Alzey
Address: Kirchenplatz 7, 55232, Alzey

Description nr.: 2017276.

Built by: Vier Orgelbau (2006)

Around 1960 an electro-pneumatic organ with two manuals and pedal was placed in the catholic Sankt Josephkirche in Alzey. Because the organ started to show more and more malfunctions and a restoration was not considered useful, the company Vier was commissioned in 2005 to build a completely new organ. The old instrument was dismantled on October 31, 2006. The wooden pipes have been reused in the new organ. On December 18, 2006, the new organ could be dedicated. Thomas Lennartz played the inauguration concert.
