• The parish church of Heilig Geist in the Hochzoll district of Augsburg was built in 1955. Maximilian Offner placed an electro-pneumatic organ in the church in 1965 with an prospect with free-standing pipes. In 1999 it was decided to purchase a new or well-used organ to replace the malfunctioning old instrument. There was an opportunity to buy the organ that was set up in a large hall on the Gut Rottenried near Gilching. It was built by the Munich Orgelbau on behalf of Josef Holzapfel, owner of the estate. The organ's disposition was designed by Professor Karl Maureen. On May 20, 1982 he played the inaugurational concert.
  
• When Holzapfel passed away in 1995 the organ was then left unused. The instrument was disassembled, overhauled and rebuilt by Dieter Schingnitz in the Heilig Geistkirche. The organ was expanded with a Setzeranlage. Siegfried Jehmlich took care of the intonation. On May 19, 2002, Whit Monday, the organ was inaugurated.
