The organ contains older material: Organ case from 1823 by Gebrüder Heidenreich
In 1823 the Heidenreich brothers built an organ for the Sankt Lorenzkirche in Hof (an der Saale) in Bavaria. This organ was transferred in 1888 to the Evangelische Kirche in Trogen. In 1905 five stops were no longer available. It is not clear whether these were removed in 1888. The organ was in poor condition, so it was decided to tear it down and replace it. The Steinmeyer company supplied the new organ, which was inaugurated in 1907. The facade of Heidenreich was used again.
