Gerhard Schmid built a new organ for the Sankt Paulskirche in Augsburg-Pfersee in 1971-1972. What is remarkable about this organ is that the Kleinpedal is connected to the first manual, and has a size of C-g'''. This also allows it to be used as a third manual work. The Großpedal has only two stops. The organ was dedicated on March 12, 1972.
The organ was restored by Gerhard Schmid in 1996. Some stops were replaced or exchanged during the works. On the Kleinpedal the Trompete 4' was replaced with a Dulcian 8', and the Kleinpommer 2' with an Octave 1'. On the Brustwerk the Septime was replaced with a Quinte 1 1/3' and the Dulcian 16' with an Oboe 8'.
