The Garnisonskirche in Albertstadt was completed in 1900. The building consisted of two parts, for the Roman Catholic and Protestant garrison members. In 1945 the church became a parish church for the Roman Catholic St. Francis Xavier parish of Dresdner Neustadt. The church was now named Sankt Martinskirche. The Protestant part has not been in use since the 1960s. The church contains an organ by Jehmlich from the construction period. It was restored in 2004.
