Built by: E.F. Walcker & Cie. (1856) - opus 139
The Walcker organ of the Heilig-Kreuzkirche in Loffenau was built in 1856. The instrument has been modified several times over the years. In 1917 the prospect pipes were requisitioned. These were later replaced by zinc ones. The restoration by Walcker of 1966, which included the removal of the original wind chests from the pedal, was a radical one. The Vleugels company carried out a restoration in 2004. The instrument has since returned to its original condition. The console, which served from 1966 to 2004, was sold to the Protestant Church in Scherpenzeel (Gelderland) for the organ in 'De Achthoek'.
