- The Magdalenen-Kirche in Neukölln was built in 1877-1879 to a design by the architect Bohl. The Dinse company installed a new pipe organ, which had 20 stops, divided between two manuals and pedal. In the years 1909-1910, the church was renovated and expanded according to plans by Fritz Gottlob. Sauer was commissioned to rebuild and expand the disassembled organ. Much material from the old organ was taken over, but Sauer also placed a lot of new pipe work.
- As was the case with many organs in Germany, the front pipes were removed for war purposes in 1917. Later they were replaced by zinc ones. After the Second World War, the organ was damaged. Part of the pipework had also disappeared. The Walcker company restored the instrument in 1953, adding the missing ranks. The technical part was later restored by Walcker in 1960-1962 and by Arndt Stephan in 1974-1980. In 1987 Stephan installed a Zimbel.
- In 2012, the organ was restored by Voigt and Scheffler. It was put back into service on December 16, 2012.
