In 1891 the firm Pilchner built an organ for the First Baptist Church in Griffin, Georgia. It was sold in 1928 to the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. It served here until 1963, after which it remained unused. Over time, the instrument has been largely ruined by vandals. In 1997/1998 the company B. Rule & Co. built a new organ in the old case, that was installed in the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.
