In 1809 a second-hand organ was bought for the Sankt Stephankirche in Würzburg, built in 1698 by Johann Hoffmann for the Ursulinenkirche in Kitzingen. During the transfer it was expanded with a second manual and provided with a new organ case. The interior was replaced in 1863 by a new organ from the Steinmeyer company. This was also replaced in 1904 by a completely new instrument, also from Steinmeyer. This was lost in 1945.
