In 1966 voltooide Paul Ott een groot vierklaviers orgel voor de Jakobikirche in Göttingen. Adviseurs bij de bouw waren Hans Jendis en Rudolf Utermöhlen. Het front werd ontworpen door Wulf Knipping. In 1984 is de None 8/9' van het Brustwerk vervangen door een Flöte 2'. Het instrument werd in 2007 door Siegfried Schmid gerestaureerd en uitgebreid met een Schwellwerk, bespeelbaar vanaf het vierde manuaal. Verder is op het pedaal een Gemshorn 8' geplaatst en werd de Quinte 10 2/3' vervangen door een Subbaß 32'.
