The organ contains older material: from 1777 by Johann Georg Friedlieb Zöllner
Johann Zöllner built an organ for the church of Sornzig in 1777. The prospect of this organ is nowadays in the church in Großzschepa. Another organ has been built behind it, a unit organ with five ranks, from which a stoplist for two manuals and pedal is derived. Georg Wünning restored the instrument in 2005/2006.
