Von Beckerath built a new organ for the Jakobuskirche in Freiendiez in 1971. Consultant as Dr. Rudolf Utermöhlen from Munich. The organ case was designed in collaboration with architect Vogel from Fachingen. The new organ was dedicated on March 14, 1971. Four registers had not yet been placed at the time of delivery. Two of these were placed in 1983, after which the organ was inaugurated again on June 19, 1983 with a recital by Gottfried Reinhardt. In 1998 the last two stops were placed, so that the organ now had 21 stops.
