  • In 1720, Johann Heinrich Klappmeyer supplied a new organ for the new church in Barmstedt. The organ from the old church, an instrument by Joachim Richborn from 1682, was sold. The new organ had two manuals with an independent pedal and 26 stops. The organ was renovated by Jürgen Marcussen in 1857.
  • In 1917 the front pipes had to be handed in. These were replaced in 1925 by zinc pipes by the Sauer company. Sauer also renovated the organ in 1935. A swell box was placed around the Brustwerk, the manual and pedal compass were increased and a pedal coupler was installed. In 1936 the swell box was removed again on behalf of Erwin Zillinger.
  • The Kemper company carried out a restoration in the years 1959-1960. On the advice of Helmut Schröder, the organ has been expanded with a Rückpositiv as a third manual. The Brustwerk also received a swell box again.
  • In 1990, the Führer company restored the organ under the advice of Immo Wesnigk. The disposition was returned to the situation of 1720, but with the Rückpositiv retained. However, the swell box of the Brustwerk has been removed again.
