In 1939 Otto Poppe built a three-manual organ for the Sankt Georgkirche in Schleiz. The instrument was damaged during the Second World War and was restored in 1950-1952 by the company Sauer and Gerhard Kirchner. The disposition has been altered. The organ was put into use again on the first Sunday of Advent, November 30, 1952.
