- Under direction of Karl Wünsch, the company Walcker built a new three-manual organ for the Sankt Jakobskirche in Augsburg in 1956-1957.
- The organ was restored in 1988 by Walcker. The Brustwerk was expanded with swell-shutters. Some modifications were also carried out: the Scharf of the Rückpositiv and the Oktavzimbel of the Brustwerk were exchanged, the Singend Kornett 2' of the pedal was replaced with the Clarine 4' of the Brustwerk. New ranks were installed on the Hauptwerk (Superoktave 2') and the Brustwerk (Spitzgamba 8' and Weidenpfeife 4'). The Mixtur of the Hauptwerk was renewed, and the Rauschpfeife of the pedal was replaced with a new Hintersatz. On the spot of the Clarine 4' of the Brustwerk, a new Rohrschalmei 8' was installed, and a tremulant was added to the Brustwerk.
