  • The old church of Hötting was built in the thirteenth century (or possibly earlier). The building belonged to the Stift Wilten. The church was rebuilt in the Gothic style in the fifteenth century, and a new tower was erected. The interior was decorated in Baroque style in the years 1750-1753 and the nave of the church was extended by approximately six meters. In 1854 Hötting became an independent parish. Because the church had become too small, a new church was built, which was dedicated in 1911. The old church was subsequently decommissioned and fell into disrepair. After the Second World War, the church was rededicated in 1951, after which the building was restored.
  • A new restoration was carried out in 1996, during which several interior pieces, including the altar, were reconstructed in the old style. Christian Erler built a new organ for the church in 1997. The instrument was put into use on November 15, 1997 with a concert by Helmuth Luksch.
