2004 Christian Erler  new organ in old case

  • The organ in the parish church of Breitenbach am Inn was built in 2003-2004 by Christian Erler. The organ case has been taken over from the previous organ. The main work's case dates from 1742 and is attributed to Joseph Balthasar Humpel. In 1798 the organ was extended with a Rückpositiv by Andreas Mauracher. It then had eighteen stops on two manuals and pedal.
  • Because the organ had been radically rebuilt and little historical pipework had been preserved, it was decided to have the new organ built in the old cases. The instrument was dedicated on July 27, 2004. Old pipes from 1742 are still present in the Octav 4' of the Hauptwerk. Pipework from the nineteenth century is present in the Superoctav. The sixteen-foot stops of the pedal are from 1961. The Bombarde is equipped with new reeds.
