  • On July 8, 1878, a new organ was inaugurated in the Église Saint-Denis in Nuits-Saint-Georges. It was built by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll. The organist Léon Reuchsel from Lyon played the dedicational concert. The church's previous organ, a smaller instrument from 1864 by Jean-Frédéric Verschneider, was taken over by Cavaillé-Coll and was later installed in Brazey-en-Plaine.
  • In 1902 the organ was overhauled by the Kuhn company and in 1942 by the Jacquot company.
  • The organ was restored by the Kuhn company in the years 1996-1998. On October 10, 1998, the instrument was returned to service.
