In 1906, Paul Rother placed an organ in the chapel of the Gymnasium Allee in Altona. It was converted and expanded by Rother in 1928. In 1956 Franz Grollmann installed the organ in the Christophoruskirche. The stop list was modified and the pipework was revoiced. The organ was restored and modified again by Heinz Hoffmann in 1980/1981.
